Fakat o, sadece ba\u015far\u0131l\u0131 bir hik\u00e2ye yazar\u0131 de\u011fil, ayn\u0131 zamanda bir \u015fair, bir \u00f6\u011fretmen, T\u00fcrk tarihini iyi bilen bir tarih\u00e7i, T\u00fcrk milletinin toplumsal yap\u0131s\u0131n\u0131 \u00e7ok iyi tahlil eden, bir sosyolog, T\u00fcrk\u00e7\u00fcl\u00fck fikrinin \u00f6nemli bir ideolo\u011fu, bir dava ve \u00fclk\u00fc adam\u0131, bunlar\u0131n hepsinden \u00f6nemlisi dil ve edebiyat alan\u0131nda yapt\u0131\u011f\u0131 ink\u0131l\u00e2pla Mill\u00ee Edebiyat\u2019\u0131n kurucusu idi. 1884-1920 y\u0131llar\u0131 aras\u0131ndaki 36 y\u0131ll\u0131k k\u0131sa \u00f6mr\u00fcne, bu kadar s\u0131fat\u0131 hak edecek \u00e7al\u0131\u015fmay\u0131 s\u0131\u011fd\u0131rabilmi\u015fti. B\u00fct\u00fcn \u00e7al\u0131\u015fmalar\u0131nda en belirgin vasf\u0131. Milliyet\u00e7ili\u011fiydi.<br \/>\n\u00d6mer Seyfeddin\u2019in milliyet\u00e7ili\u011fini \u00fc\u00e7 ayr\u0131 b\u00f6l\u00fcmde inceleyebiliriz:<\/p>\n<p>1. D\u0130L M\u0130LL\u0130YET\u00c7\u0130L\u0130\u011e\u0130 (T\u00dcRK\u00c7EC\u0130L\u0130\u011e\u0130)<br \/>\nTanzimat\u2019la birlikte g\u00fc\u00e7lenen dilde sadele\u015fme faaliyetlerini sistemli ve somut bir bi\u00e7imde fikr\u00ee platforma ta\u015f\u0131yan \u00d6mer Seyfeddin\u2019dir. \u00d6mer Seyfettin, dilde sadele\u015fme cereyan\u0131na g\u00f6n\u00fcl veren yak\u0131n arkada\u015f\u0131 Ali Canip\u2019e 1910 y\u0131l\u0131nda yazd\u0131\u011f\u0131 bir mektupta \u201cGeliniz Canip Bey, edebiyatta, lisanda bir ihtil\u00e2l v\u00fccuda getirelim\u201d diyerek dil ve edebiyat alan\u0131nda milli bir \u00e7\u0131\u011f\u0131r a\u00e7t\u0131. 11 Nisan 1911\u2019de Gen\u00e7 Kalemler Mecmuas\u0131\u2019n\u0131n 2. Cilt 1. Say\u0131s\u0131\u2019nda yer alan \u201cYeni Lisan\u201d makalesi mill\u00ee dile d\u00f6n\u00fc\u015f\u00fcn manifestosudur.<br \/>\nYeni Lisan Hareketi\u2019nin ba\u015fl\u0131ca ilkeleri \u015funlard\u0131r:<br \/>\na. Yaz\u0131 dili konu\u015fma diline yakla\u015ft\u0131r\u0131lmal\u0131; \u0130stanbul T\u00fcrk\u00e7esi ile yaz\u0131lmal\u0131; yani konu\u015fma dilinden yeni bir yaz\u0131 dili meydana getirilmeli.<br \/>\nb. Dilimizdeki Arap\u00e7a ve Fars\u00e7a dilbilgisi kurallar\u0131 kullan\u0131lmamal\u0131; Arap\u00e7a ve Fars\u00e7a kelimelerle akkurulan isim ve s\u0131fat tamlamalar\u0131 T\u00fcrk\u00e7e kurallar\u0131na g\u00f6re yap\u0131lmal\u0131.<br \/>\nc. Arap\u00e7a ve Fars\u00e7a kelimeler i\u00e7inde halk dilinde telaffuzu de\u011fi\u015fmi\u015f olanlar\u0131, yaz\u0131 dilindeki \u015fekilleriyle kullanmal\u0131; \u201ckalabal\u0131k, hoca\u201d gibi. Buna kar\u015f\u0131l\u0131k g\u00fcne\u015f varken \u015fems, \u015feb;ay varken kamer, mah kelimeleri kullan\u0131lmamal\u0131.<br \/>\nEdebiyat mahfillerinde b\u00fcy\u00fck tart\u0131\u015fmalara sebep olan \u201cYeni Lisan\u201d makalesindeki fikirler, k\u0131sa bir s\u00fcre sonra geni\u015f bir taraftar kitlesi bularak Mill\u00ee Edebiyat \u00e7\u0131\u011f\u0131r\u0131n\u0131n a\u00e7\u0131lmas\u0131nda \u00f6nc\u00fc rol\u00fc oynam\u0131\u015ft\u0131r..<br \/>\n\u00d6mer Seyfeddin\u2019e g\u00f6re milli mefk\u00fbre (\u00fclk\u00fc) \u00fc\u00e7 sevginin birle\u015fmesinden meydana gelir: Dil sevgisi, millet ve din sevgisi, vatan sevgisi. O, dili manevi bir vatana benzetir. Bu vatan bozulursa ne millet kal\u0131r, ne devlet&#8230; Ona g\u00f6re, \u201cMilliyetimiz nas\u0131l T\u00fcrkl\u00fck, vatan\u0131m\u0131z nas\u0131l T\u00fcrkiye ise, lisan\u0131m\u0131z da T\u00fcrk\u00e7edir. T\u00fcrk\u00e7e bizim manevi ve mukaddes vatan\u0131m\u0131zd\u0131r. Bu manevi vatan\u0131n istikl\u00e2li, kuvveti, resm\u00ee ve mill\u00ee vatan\u0131m\u0131z\u0131n istikl\u00e2linden daha m\u00fchimdir.<\/p>\n<p>2. EBED\u00ce M\u0130LL\u0130YET\u00c7\u0130L\u0130\u011e\u0130<br \/>\n\u00d6mer Seyfeddin\u2019e g\u00f6re \u201cYeni Lisan\u201d makalesinin yay\u0131nland\u0131\u011f\u0131 tarihe kadar (1911) mill\u00ee bir edebiyat\u0131m\u0131z yoktur. T\u00fcrk milletinin yava\u015f yava\u015f \u201c yeni bir hayata ve yeni bir intibah devresine\u201d girdi\u011fi kanaatindeydi. Bu sebeple, \u201cBiz b\u00fct\u00fcn bu karanl\u0131klardan uzak, h\u00fcr ve m\u00fcstakil, ilim ve edebiyat i\u00e7in \u00e7al\u0131\u015faca\u011f\u0131z. Gayemiz mill\u00ee lisan, mill\u00ee bir edebiyat v\u00fccuda getirmek olacakt\u0131r.\u201d<br \/>\n\u201cMill\u00ee edebiyat \u015fekilce, lisanca, manaca bizim hususiyetlerimize h\u00e2iz bulunacakt\u0131. Milli veznimiz hece usul\u00fc idi. Milli lisan\u0131m\u0131z b\u00fct\u00fcn T\u00fcrkl\u00fc\u011f\u00fcn dima\u011f\u0131 olan \u0130stanbul\u2019da her g\u00fcn konu\u015ftu\u011fumuz leh\u00e7e idi. Edebiyat\u0131m\u0131z\u0131n ba\u015fka milletlerin edebiyatlar\u0131na benzemeyen hususiyetleri ancak bize ait say\u0131labilirdi\u201d.<br \/>\n\u00d6mer Seyfeddin, \u201cmilli edebiyat\u201d olu\u015fturabilmek i\u00e7in \u00fc\u00e7 unsuru esas al\u0131yordu:<br \/>\na) Dil ve anlat\u0131mda, milli dil ve sade \u00fcsl\u00fbp kullanmak,<br \/>\nb) Konular\u0131 mill\u00ee tarih ve milli co\u011frafyadan se\u00e7mek.<br \/>\nc) \u015eiirde mill\u00ee \u00f6l\u00e7\u00fc olan heceyi kullanmak.<br \/>\nO hikayelerini yazarken mill\u00ee tarihimizden, halk k\u00fclt\u00fcr\u00fcnden ve Anadolu efsanelerinden yararlanm\u0131\u015ft\u0131r. \u0130lham\u0131n\u0131, T\u00fcrk insan\u0131n\u0131n sahip oldu\u011fu mertlik, d\u00fcr\u00fcstl\u00fck, ahlakl\u0131l\u0131k, vatanseverlik, azim ve kararl\u0131l\u0131k, gurur ve vakar, cesaret ve kahramanl\u0131k gibi hasletlerden alm\u0131\u015ft\u0131r. Dili, deyi\u015fi, konular\u0131 \u201cT\u00fcrk\u201d olan hikayeyi \u00d6mer Seyfeddin\u2019e bor\u00e7luyuz. O, sanat\u0131yla \u00fclk\u00fcs\u00fcn\u00fc birle\u015ftirmi\u015f bir sanat\u00e7\u0131yd\u0131. Onun \u00fclk\u00fcs\u00fc, milliyet\u00e7ilik \u00fclk\u00fcs\u00fcyd\u00fc. \u201cMadem ki T\u00fcrk\u00fcz, o halde bir T\u00fcrk g\u00f6r\u00fcr, bir T\u00fcrk gibi d\u00fc\u015f\u00fcn\u00fcr, bir T\u00fcrk gibi duyar\u0131z ve bir T\u00fcrk gibi d\u00fc\u015f\u00fcn\u00fcr, bir T\u00fcrk gibi duyar\u0131z ve bir T\u00fcrk gibi yazar\u0131z\u201d diyordu.<\/p>\n<p>3. S\u0130YAS\u0130 VE F\u0130KR\u00ce M\u0130LL\u0130YET\u00c7\u0130L\u0130\u011e\u0130<br \/>\n\u00d6mer Seyfeddin, dil ve edebiyat alan\u0131nda oldu\u011fu kadar siyas\u00ee ve fikr\u00ee alanda da milliyet\u00e7ili\u011fi \u00f6n plana \u00e7\u0131karm\u0131\u015f bir \u015fahsiyettir. O, bu y\u00f6n\u00fcyle de bir \u00fclk\u00fc ve dava adam\u0131d\u0131r.<br \/>\n\u015eiirleri ve hik\u00e2yelerinde milli duygu ve d\u00fc\u015f\u00fcnceleri ile \u00fclk\u00fcs\u00fcn\u00fc ortaya koyan yazar, siyasi ve fikri alandaki milli d\u00fc\u015f\u00fcncelerini belirten eserler de yazm\u0131\u015ft\u0131r. Bunlar; Mill\u00ee Tecr\u00fcbelerden \u00c7\u0131kar\u0131lm\u0131\u015f Amel\u00ee Siyaset, T\u00fcrkl\u00fck Mefk\u00fbresi (T\u00fcrkl\u00fck \u00dclk\u00fcs\u00fc), Yar\u0131nki Turan Devleti isimli eserlerdir. Yazar bu eserlerinde; T\u00fcrk milletinin ya\u015fad\u0131\u011f\u0131 ve ac\u0131 \u00e7ekti\u011fi tarihi olaylardan ders alarak gelecekte nas\u0131l bir politika takip emesi gerekti\u011fini, milletin hangi unsurlardan meydana geldi\u011fini, yeni yeti\u015fen nesillere milliyet\u00e7ilik duygusunun nas\u0131l a\u015f\u0131lanmas\u0131 gerekti\u011fini ve T\u00fcrk milletinin \u00fclk\u00fcs\u00fcn\u00fcn ve nihai hedefinin ne olmas\u0131 gerekti\u011fini anlat\u0131r.<br \/>\n\u00d6mer Seyfeddin de, yak\u0131n dava arkada\u015f\u0131 Ziya G\u00f6kalp gibi bir k\u00fclt\u00fcr milliyet\u00e7isidir. B\u00fct\u00fcn milliyet\u00e7i fikir adamlar\u0131 gibi \u0131rk ve kan milliyet\u00e7isi de\u011fildir. Ona g\u00f6re millet; bir dili konu\u015fan, bir din, bir terbiye, bir e\u011fitimle birbirine kenetlenmi\u015f insanlar\u0131n meydana getirdi\u011fi bir varl\u0131kt\u0131r.\u201d<br \/>\n\u00d6mer Seyfettin, T\u00fcrk \u00e7ocu\u011funun milliyet\u00e7i olmas\u0131 gerekti\u011fini belirttikten sonra, onlara \u015f\u00f6yle seslenir: \u201c Ey T\u00fcrk \u00e7ocuklar\u0131! Siz hem kuvvet, hem bilgi, hem \u00fclk\u00fc sahibi olunuz. B\u00fcy\u00fck ba\u015far\u0131lar\u0131n\u0131z ad\u0131n\u0131z\u0131 tarihe ge\u00e7irecek ve sizi bu ge\u00e7ici hayat\u0131n \u00fczerindeki o ebebi ve \u00f6l\u00fcms\u00fcz hayata ula\u015ft\u0131racakt\u0131r.\u201d<br \/>\n\u00d6mer Seyfettin, otuz alt\u0131 y\u0131ll\u0131k k\u0131sa \u00f6mr\u00fcn\u00fc, T\u00fcrk milletinin kaderini de\u011fi\u015ftirecek, dil, edebiyat ve siyaset alanlar\u0131ndaki d\u00fc\u015f\u00fcnceler ve eserlerle doldurmu\u015ftur. O, bu \u00e7ok y\u00f6nl\u00fc duygu ve d\u00fc\u015f\u00fcnce yap\u0131s\u0131yla bir edebiyat, fikir, dava ve \u00fclk\u00fc adam\u0131d\u0131r.
