Bu da \u00fclkedeki M\u00fcsl\u00fcmanlar\u0131n \u00f6tekile\u015ftirilmesine ve k\u0131r\u0131lmas\u0131na neden oldu. Bulgar modernle\u015fmesi, en ba\u015f\u0131ndan bir <strong>Osmanl\u0131dan ar\u0131nma hareketine<\/strong> b\u00fcr\u00fcnd\u00fc.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Bu y\u0131k\u0131m hareketi Sofya\u2019da nas\u0131l ger\u00e7ekle\u015fti?<br \/>\n<\/strong>Eski bir an\u0131t\u0131n a\u015fik\u00e2r yarar\u0131n\u0131 de\u011ferlendirme basiretsizli\u011fi ve beceriksizli\u011fi her yerde telafi edilmez bir felakete yol a\u00e7t\u0131. Baz\u0131 insanlar\u0131n fanatizmi o dereceye varm\u0131\u015ft\u0131 ki e\u011fer bir \u015fey T\u00fcrk ise o art\u0131k var olmamal\u0131yd\u0131 ve y\u0131k\u0131lmas\u0131 gerekiyordu.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Sofya\u2019da Osmanl\u0131 eserlerinin tahribi \u015fehrin 3 Ocak 1878\u2019de Rus i\u015fgaline girmesiyle ba\u015flad\u0131.<br \/>\n<\/strong>\u0130lk hedef, Osmanl\u0131 h\u00e2kimiyeti ve varl\u0131\u011f\u0131n\u0131n temsilcisi durumundaki maddi k\u00fclt\u00fcr varl\u0131klar\u0131 oldu. Osmanl\u0131 d\u00f6neminde Sofya\u2019da 82 cami ve mescit, 7 medrese, 19 mektep, 15 tekke-zaviye, 3 imaret, 13 han, 11 hamam, 2 t\u00fcrbe, 7 kervansaray, 10 \u00e7e\u015fme, 1 sebil in\u015fa edilmi\u015fti.<\/p>\n<p>1285 (1868-1869) tarihli Tuna Vilayeti Salnamesine g\u00f6re ise \u015fehirde 44 cami, 8 mektep, 4 medrese, 18 tekke vard\u0131. 1870\u2019lere ait oldu\u011funu tahmin etti\u011fimiz bir vesikada nefs-i Sofya\u2019da 36 cami ve mescid, 15 kilise ve havra, 4 medrese ve \u0131slahhane, 11 \u0130slam-9 Gayrim\u00fcslim mektebi, 2 fabrika, 13 h\u00fck\u00fcmet kona\u011f\u0131 ve m\u00fcsakkaf\u00e2t-\u0131 miriye, 124 m\u00fcsakkaf\u00e2t-\u0131 m\u00fctenevvia oldu\u011fu g\u00f6r\u00fclmektedir.<\/p><div id=\"bghab-1388778084\" class=\"bghab-icerik-icine bghab-entity-placement\"><script async src=\"\/\/pagead2.googlesyndication.com\/pagead\/js\/adsbygoogle.js?client=ca-pub-6203283170189293\" crossorigin=\"anonymous\"><\/script><ins class=\"adsbygoogle\" style=\"display:block; text-align:center;\" data-ad-client=\"ca-pub-6203283170189293\" \ndata-ad-slot=\"7303146466\" \ndata-ad-layout=\"in-article\"\ndata-ad-format=\"fluid\" data-full-width-responsive=\"true\"><\/ins>\n<script> \n(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); \n<\/script>\n<\/div>\n<p><strong>Bulgaristan Komiseri Ali Ferruh Bey\u2019e (1902-1904) g\u00f6re Sofya\u2019da harpten \u00f6nce 44, halefi Sad\u0131k g\u00f6re ise 46 cami vard\u0131.<br \/>\n<\/strong>Ali Ferruh Bey\u2019in Sofya M\u00fcft\u00fcs\u00fc Mehmet H\u00fcsn\u00fc Efendi\u2019ye haz\u0131rlatt\u0131\u011f\u0131 8 Haziran 1902 tarihli deftere g\u00f6re ise vak\u0131f eseri olmak \u00fczere harpten \u00f6nce Sofya\u2019da 41 cami, 3 mescit, 3 medrese, 11 mektep, 2 hamam, 5 kapl\u0131ca, 5 t\u00fcrbe, 3 han, 8 tekke, 1 derg\u00e2h, 2 zaviye, 1 k\u00fct\u00fcphane, 1 mahkeme kona\u011f\u0131 vard\u0131.<\/p>\n<p>Ge\u00e7ici Rus idaresi d\u00f6neminde Rus komiseri Dondukov, Sofya \u00fczerindeki \u201c<strong>Minare orman\u0131<\/strong>\u201dndan \u0131st\u0131rap duymu\u015f, ancak Osmanl\u0131 temsilcisi Pertev Efendi\u2019nin \u015fehirde bulunmas\u0131, h\u0131zl\u0131 bir tasfiyeye engel olmu\u015ftu. Sofya\u2019n\u0131n ilk belediye ba\u015fkan\u0131 Rus Aleksandr Mosolov\u2019un hat\u0131rat\u0131nda belirtti\u011fine g\u00f6re Dondukov, \u201c1878 Aral\u0131\u011f\u0131nda f\u0131rt\u0131nal\u0131 bir gecede yaverlerinden birini \u00e7a\u011f\u0131rarak \u201c<strong>Derhal m\u00fchendis alay\u0131ndan 6 elektrik teknisyeni ile \u015fehre git. Bu t\u00fcr eserlerin y\u0131k\u0131m\u0131 veya ba\u015fka ama\u00e7larla kullan\u0131m i\u00e7in tadil edilmesi, Bulgar devlet adamlar\u0131n\u0131n \u00fclkelerinin H\u0131ristiyan Bulgar karakterini tebar\u00fcz ettirmek i\u00e7in uygulad\u0131klar\u0131 bilin\u00e7li bir politikan\u0131n sonucuydu.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Bulgar devlet adamlar\u0131 a\u00e7\u0131s\u0131ndan tebaadan h\u00e2kim konuma ge\u00e7i\u015fin k\u00fclt\u00fcrel olarak da tescil edilmesi elzemdi ve Bulgar kimli\u011finde art\u0131k do\u011fulu unsurlara yer yoktu<\/strong>. Nedelya (Sv. Kral) Kilisesine dokunmamak i\u00e7in Vito\u015fa caddesinin yar\u0131m bir daire \u015feklinde k\u0131vr\u0131larak Maria Luisa caddesine ba\u011flanmas\u0131 buna \u00f6rnektir.<\/p>\n<p><strong>\u015e\u00fcphesiz bu tasfiye hareketi belediyelerden \u00e7ok merkezi h\u00fckumetlerin tercihiydi.<\/strong> Osmanl\u0131 sosyal ya\u015fam\u0131n\u0131n sivil unsurlar\u0131konak, mektep, hamam, bedesten, kervansaray, han vs. binalar ile Osmanl\u0131toplumunun bulu\u015fma noktas\u0131 olan \u00e7ar\u015fiyalar da imar planlar\u0131ndan kurtulamad\u0131.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Keza \u00e7e\u015fmelerin de kaderi ayn\u0131 idi.<\/strong> Mesela Eski Za\u011fra\u2019da 14. y\u00fczy\u0131lda yap\u0131lan ve ba\u011f\u0131ms\u0131zl\u0131ktan hemen sonra kitabesi s\u00f6k\u00fclerek y\u0131k\u0131lmaya terk edilen Aynal\u0131 \u00c7e\u015fme\u2019nin durumu b\u00f6yledir.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Dubni\u00e7e\u2019de beyaz mermer hazinesini ve g\u00fczel mermer<\/strong> detaylar\u0131n\u0131 hat\u0131rlad\u0131\u011f\u0131 iki hamam\u0131n 1884\u2019te imar plan\u0131 gere\u011fi y\u0131k\u0131lmas\u0131ndan esefle s\u00f6z eden N. Lazarkov, \u201ceski bir an\u0131t\u0131n a\u015fik\u00e2r yarar\u0131n\u0131 de\u011ferlendirme basiretsizli\u011fi ve beceriksizli\u011fi her yerde telafi edilmez bir felakete yol a\u00e7t\u0131. Sofya\u2019da kapsaml\u0131 in\u015faat faaliyetleri, 1880\u2019de \u015fehrin do\u011fu b\u00f6l\u00fcm\u00fcnden ba\u015flayarak mahalle mahalle, sistematik \u015fekilde geli\u015fti. \u0130lk etapta Prens Saray\u0131(eski Osmanl\u0131 kona\u011f\u0131) ve Sobranya\u2019n\u0131n (Narodno S\u0131branie\/Milli Meclis) bulundu\u011fu Tsar Osvoboditel (Kurtar\u0131c\u0131 \u00c7ar) Bulvar\u0131, Knyaz Dondukov Bulvar\u0131, metruk ve harap Siyavu\u015f Pa\u015fa Camisi (Sv. Sofiya Kilisesi) ile Rusya\u2019ya olan minnettarl\u0131\u011f\u0131n bir ni\u015fanesi olarak 1882\u2019de in\u015fas\u0131na ba\u015flanan Sv. Aleksand\u0131r Nevski Katedralinin bulundu\u011fu b\u00f6lgeye a\u011f\u0131rl\u0131k verildi. 1886\u2019ya do\u011fru \u00e7al\u0131\u015fmalar, Sv. Sofiya Kilisesi ve Sofu Mehmet Pa\u015fa Camisini (Kara Cami, sonradan Sv. Sedmo\u00e7islenitsi Kilisesi) i\u00e7ine alan Tsar Osvoboditel Bulvar\u0131n\u0131n iki yakas\u0131na yay\u0131ld\u0131.<\/p>\n<p><strong>1888\u2019de modernle\u015ftirme hareketi \u015fehir merkezindeki Osmanl\u0131 \u00e7ar\u015f\u0131s\u0131n\u0131 yuttu.<\/strong> Banya Ba\u015f\u0131 Camisinin hemen \u00fczerindeki \u00c7uhac\u0131lar han\u0131 da bu s\u0131rada y\u0131k\u0131lm\u0131\u015f olmal\u0131d\u0131r. Lory\u2019ye g\u00f6re Ba\u015fbakan Stefan Stambolov\u2019un (1887-1894) yanda\u015f\u0131 olan Sofya belediye ba\u015fkan\u0131 Dimit\u0131r Petkov (1888-1893), plan d\u00e2hilinde y\u0131k\u0131lmas\u0131 \u00f6ng\u00f6r\u00fclen as\u0131rl\u0131k kiliseler, camiler, sinagoglar da dahil olmak \u00fczere her \u015feyi y\u0131km\u0131\u015ft\u0131. 1890\u2019larda imar ve y\u0131k\u0131m faaliyeti \u201c<strong>Rus An\u0131t\u0131<\/strong>\u201d \u00e7evresine ve Vito\u015fa Da\u011f\u0131ete\u011findeki ismi art\u0131k <strong>Knyajevo<\/strong> (Prens K\u00f6y\u00fc) tesmiye olunan Bali Efendi K\u00f6y\u00fc istikametine do\u011fru kayd\u0131. Bu durumda ilk alt\u0131 y\u0131l i\u00e7inde Banya <strong>Ba\u015f\u0131 Camisi hari\u00e7 b\u00fct\u00fcn Sofya camilerinin bir \u015fekilde tasfiye edildi\u011fini s\u00f6yleyebiliriz.<\/strong> Ayakta kalan Osmanl\u0131 eserlerinden Sofya\u2019n\u0131n en b\u00fcy\u00fck camisi olan ve Rus komiseri Dondukov taraf\u0131ndan minaresi y\u0131k\u0131lan <strong>dokuz kubbeli Mahmut Pa\u015fa Camisi <\/strong>(Cami-i Kebir, 1474) s\u0131ras\u0131yla hastane, devlet matbaas\u0131 ve milli k\u00fct\u00fcphaneye d\u00f6n\u00fc\u015ft\u00fcr\u00fcld\u00fckten sonra, niha\u00ee olarak 1902\u2019de arkeoloji m\u00fcze haline getirilmi\u015ftir.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Bir aral\u0131k tiyatroya d\u00f6n\u00fc\u015ft\u00fcr\u00fclmesi g\u00fcndeme geldi\u011finde, Ba\u015fbakan Stambolov \u201cCamileri karag\u00f6ze \u00e7eviremeyiz, \u00f6\u011frendikleri zaman \u0130stanbul\u2019da ne derler?\u201d diyerek bu tasavvuru \u00f6nlemi\u015fti<\/strong>. Caminin biti\u015fi\u011findeki 40 odal\u0131 Mahmut Pa\u015fa Medresesinin ne zaman y\u0131k\u0131ld\u0131\u011f\u0131 me\u00e7huld\u00fcr. Ancak, Prens saray\u0131n\u0131n \u00e7apraz\u0131ndaki medresenin ilk y\u0131llardaki y\u0131k\u0131m faaliyetinden kendisini kurtarm\u0131\u015f olmas\u0131 g\u00fc\u00e7t\u00fcr. Sofya camileri bir yandan Avrupa tarz\u0131 bir \u015fehir in\u015fas\u0131 u\u011fruna y\u0131k\u0131l\u0131rken, \u00f6te yandan <strong>baz\u0131 camilerin kiliseye \u00e7evrildi\u011fi<\/strong> g\u00f6r\u00fclmektedir. 1882 y\u0131l\u0131 A\u011fustos ay\u0131nda Maliye Naz\u0131r\u0131 Grigor Na\u00e7ovi\u00e7, hali haz\u0131rda cephanelik olarak kullan\u0131lan Kara Cami\u2019nin (Sofu Mehmet Pa\u015fa Camisi\/\u0130maret Camisi) eskiden Sv. \u0130liya Manast\u0131r\u0131 oldu\u011fu iddias\u0131yla kiliseye tahvilini istedi. Sofya Kilise \u0130dare Meclisi ve Bulgar halk da bir tak\u0131m efsanelere dayal\u0131 olarak G\u00fcl, Siyavu\u015f Pa\u015fa, Fethiye, Sungur(lar) ve Kuru\u00e7e\u015fme Camilerinin s\u0131ras\u0131yla eskiden Sv. Georgi, Sv. Sofiya, Sv. Dimit\u0131r, Sv. Sv. Pet\u0131r ve Pavel ve Sv. Georgi kiliseleri olduklar\u0131iddias\u0131yla kiliseye \u00e7evrilmeleri i\u00e7in h\u00fck\u00fcmete dilek\u00e7eler ya\u011fd\u0131r\u0131yordu.Bunlardan \u201cSv. Georgi\u201d Kilisesi (4. y\u00fczy\u0131l), II. Bayezid d\u00f6neminde 16. y\u00fczy\u0131l ba\u015flar\u0131nda <strong>G\u00fcl Camisine<\/strong> (Bayezid-i Veli Camisi), Sofya\u2019ya ad\u0131n\u0131 veren \u201cSv. Georgi Kilisesine d\u00f6n\u00fc\u015ft\u00fcr\u00fclm\u00fc\u015ft\u00fcr.<\/strong> \u00a01818 depreminde mihrab\u0131, 1858 depreminde minaresi y\u0131k\u0131lan ve harabeye d\u00f6nen Siyavu\u015f Pa\u015fa Camisi ise 1878\u2019den sonra metruk kalm\u0131\u015f ve bir aral\u0131k odun deposu olarak kullan\u0131lm\u0131\u015ft\u0131r. Siyavu\u015f Pa\u015fa Camisi uzun s\u00fcren kapal\u0131l\u0131k ve k\u0131smi restorasyondan sonra 1900 y\u0131l\u0131nda kiliseye tahvil edilerek ibadete a\u00e7\u0131lm\u0131\u015f ve 1906 y\u0131l\u0131nda Sv. Sofia ad\u0131yla takdis edilmi\u015ftir.<\/p>\n<p>1548\u2019de <strong>Mimar Sinan<\/strong> taraf\u0131ndan in\u015fa edilen ve minaresinin siyah mermerle kapl\u0131 olmas\u0131ndan dolay\u0131 yayg\u0131n olarak <strong>Kara Cami<\/strong> ad\u0131yla bilinen Sofu Mehmet Pa\u015fa Camisinin kiliseye \u00e7evrilmesi meselesine gelince;118 Grigor Na\u00e7ovi\u00e7\u2019in 1882\u2019deki te\u015febb\u00fcs\u00fcnden sonra Kara Cami, uzun s\u00fcre <strong>cephanelik <\/strong>olarak kullan\u0131lmaya devam etti. Asl\u0131nda Kara Cami\u2019nin kiliseye d\u00f6n\u00fc\u015ft\u00fcr\u00fclmesi fikri Karavelov\u2019a aitti.<\/strong> Kiliseye d\u00f6n\u00fc\u015ft\u00fcrme plan\u0131 Aleksand\u0131r Nevski Katedralinin mimar\u0131 Rus A. N. Pomerantsev taraf\u0131ndan haz\u0131rland\u0131, restorasyon i\u015fleri ise Bulgar mimarlar Yordan Milanov ile Petko Mom\u00e7ilov taraf\u0131ndan y\u00fcr\u00fct\u00fcld\u00fc. Kara Caminin kiliseye \u00e7evrilmesini \u00f6nlemek i\u00e7in Bulgaristan Komiseri Ali Ferruh Bey ve B\u00e2b\u0131\u00e2li\u2019nin 1902 ve 1903\u2019te gerek Prens Ferdinand ile Stoyan Danev (1901-1903) ve Ra\u00e7o Petrov (1903-1906) kabineleri, gerekse <strong>Rusya, \u0130ngiltere ve Avusturya kabineleri nezdinde yapt\u0131klar\u0131 te\u015febb\u00fcsler sonu\u00e7suz kald\u0131<\/strong>. Ba\u015fbakan Danev, caminin Osmanl\u0131 zaman\u0131nda 1863\u2019te depo olarak kullan\u0131lmaya ba\u015fland\u0131\u011f\u0131, uzun s\u00fcre metruk kald\u0131\u011f\u0131 i\u00e7in \u201cs\u0131fat- asliyesi z\u00e2il olup suret-i \u00e2here kalb ve ifra\u011f edilebilece\u011fi\u201dne dair Sofya M\u00fcft\u00fcs\u00fc Bilal Efendi\u2019den fetva al\u0131nd\u0131\u011f\u0131, hali haz\u0131rda halktan toplanan 100.000 frank\u0131n sarf edilmi\u015f oldu\u011fu, zaten caminin eskiden Yedi Azizler ad\u0131yla bir Ortodoks kilisesi oldu\u011fu vb. iddialarla Ali Ferruh Bey\u2019in ba\u015fvurular\u0131n\u0131 reddetti. Petko Karavelov\u2019un 24 Ocak\/6 \u015eubat 1903\u2019te \u00f6l\u00fcm\u00fcnden sonra, vasiyeti \u00fczerine caminin avlusuna defnedilmesi geri d\u00f6n\u00fc\u015fyolunu kapatt\u0131. Kara Cami, Osmanl\u0131 protestolar\u0131 e\u015fli\u011finde 27 Temmuz 1319\/ 9 A\u011fustos 1903 Pazar g\u00fcn\u00fc \u201cSv. Sedmo\u00e7islenitsi\u201d (Yedi Azizler) Kilisesi ad\u0131yla takdis edildi.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Sofya\u2019da tasfiye hareketinden kendisini kurtaran yeg\u00e2ne cami 1566\u2019da in\u015fa edilen Banya Ba\u015f\u0131 Camisi (Seyfullah Efendi Camisi) idi.<\/strong> Banya Ba\u015f\u0131Camisi 1879\u2019da ibadet edilebilen tek cami olmas\u0131na ra\u011fmen, sava\u015f s\u0131ras\u0131nda Bulgarlar taraf\u0131ndan tahrip edildi\u011fi ve minaresinin alemi y\u0131k\u0131ld\u0131\u011f\u0131ndan harap bir durumdayd\u0131. Ayr\u0131ca vak\u0131f gelirlerine el konuldu\u011fu i\u00e7in cemaat taraf\u0131ndan tamir edilemiyordu. Prens Aleksandr taraf\u0131ndan caminin tamiri i\u00e7in 1 Temmuz 1882\u2019de 15.000 frank tahsis edildi ise de \u201ccamiye daha ziyade bir manzara-i latife h\u00e2s\u0131l eylemek \u00fczere\u201d <strong>\u00e7evresindeki 4\u2019\u00fc vak\u0131f olmak \u00fczere 11 d\u00fckk\u00e2n y\u0131k\u0131ld\u0131<\/strong>. 1886\u2019da imam Haf\u0131z Ahmet Vehbi Efendi, caminin vak\u0131f gelirlerinden mahrum olmas\u0131 dolay\u0131s\u0131yla yard\u0131ma muhta\u00e7 bir haldeydi. 1890\u2019da Belediye Ba\u015fkan\u0131 Dimit\u0131r Petkov yeni bir hamam yapmak niyetiyle Sofya\u2019da asli \u00f6zelli\u011fi ile ayakta kalan tek cami olan <strong>Banya Ba\u015f\u0131 Camisini ve biti\u015fi\u011findeki T\u00fcrk hamam\u0131n\u0131<\/strong> y\u0131kma karar\u0131 ald\u0131. Komiserlik vek\u00e2letinde bulunan Re\u015fit Bey\u2019e g\u00f6re \u201csanat-\u0131 mimariyesi c\u00e2lib-i nazar-\u0131 takdir olan\u201d bu eserin yerine <strong>\u015fehir d\u0131\u015f\u0131nda bir mescit yap\u0131lmas\u0131 d\u00fc\u015f\u00fcn\u00fcl\u00fcyordu.<\/strong> Banya Ba\u015f\u0131 Camisi, B\u00e2b\u0131\u00e2li\u2019nin Bulgaristan Kap\u0131keth\u00fcdas\u0131 Georgi V\u0131lkovi\u00e7\u2019e itiraz\u0131 ve Mustafa Re\u015fit Bey\u2019in Ba\u015fbakan Stambolov nezdindeki giri\u015fimleriyle y\u0131k\u0131m te\u015febb\u00fcs\u00fcn\u00fc atlatt\u0131. 1904 y\u0131l\u0131nda caminin tamiri i\u00e7in padi\u015fah taraf\u0131ndan 100 lira tahsis edildi. 1906 y\u0131l\u0131nda eski belediye ba\u015fkan\u0131 ve hali haz\u0131rda D\u00e2hiliye Naz\u0131r\u0131 olan Petkov, belediye taraf\u0131ndan in\u015fa edilecek olan kapl\u0131ca ve otel arsas\u0131na biti\u015fik olmas\u0131 hasebiyle Petko Mom\u00e7ilov ve Avusturyal\u0131 Friedrich Gr\u00fcnanger taraf\u0131ndan haz\u0131rlanan projeye tesad\u00fcf etti\u011fi gerek\u00e7esi ile Banya Ba\u015f\u0131 Camisinin y\u0131k\u0131m\u0131na ruhsat verdi. <strong>Bulgaristan Komiseri Sad\u0131k Pa\u015fa<\/strong> (1904-1908) ile D\u00e2hiliye Naz\u0131r\u0131 Petkov aras\u0131nda yap\u0131lan g\u00f6r\u00fc\u015fmede, Petkov\u2019un Banya Ba\u015f\u0131 Camisi yerine uygun bir yerde ayn\u0131 b\u00fcy\u00fckl\u00fckte ba\u015fka bir cami in\u015fas\u0131 teklifine kar\u015f\u0131l\u0131k, Sad\u0131k Pa\u015fa\u2019n\u0131n hali haz\u0131rda m\u00fcze olarak kullan\u0131lan Mahmud Pa\u015fa Camisinin M\u00fcsl\u00fcman cemaate iadesi talebi, m\u00fczenin art\u0131k devlet mal\u0131 oldu\u011fu gerek\u00e7esi ile Petkov taraf\u0131ndan reddedildi. Sad\u0131k Pa\u015fa, vaktiyle 46 cami bulunan Sofya\u2019da kalan tek cami olan Banya Ba\u015f\u0131 Camisinin, \u0130stasyon Caddesine ba\u011flanan Maria Luisa caddesinde olmas\u0131 dolay\u0131s\u0131yla, Sofya\u2019ya gelen Avrupal\u0131 seyyah ve ziyaret\u00e7ilerin en ba\u015fta dikkatini \u00e7eken bir \u0130slam eseri olmas\u0131 y\u00fcz\u00fcnden y\u0131k\u0131lmak istendi\u011fi kanaatindeydi. B\u00e2b\u0131\u00e2li\u2019nin tepkisi daha sert oldu. B\u00e2b\u0131\u00e2li, \u201cSofya\u2019da mevcut olan 46 camiden 45\u2019i ya kilise veyahut m\u00fcze gibi meb\u00e2niye tahvil ve k\u0131sm-\u0131 k\u00fcllisi d\u00e2ire-i belediyece plana tesad\u00fcf 1902); \u00a0ettirilerek hedm ve tahrip edildi\u011fi halde her nas\u0131lsa \u015fimdiye kadar mevcudiyetini muhafaza edebilmi\u015f olan Banya Ba\u015f\u0131 Camisinin de \u015fimdi banyoya kalb edilmek istenilmesinin&#8230; \u00e2s\u00e2r-\u0131 kad\u00eeme-i <strong>\u0130slamiyeden birinin bile Sofya\u2019da bulunmas\u0131n\u0131n arzu edilmemesinden kaynakland\u0131\u011f<\/strong>\u0131\u201d beyan\u0131 ve \u00fcst\u00fc kapal\u0131 bir m\u00fctekabiliyet tehdidi ile Bulgaristan Kap\u0131keth\u00fcdas\u0131 Grigor Na\u00e7ovi\u00e7\u2019e bir nota verdi. B\u00f6ylece B\u00e2b\u0131\u00e2li\u2019nin ve Sad\u0131k Pa\u015fa\u2019n\u0131n giri\u015fimleri sonucu <strong>Banya Ba\u015f\u0131 Camisi bir kez daha y\u0131k\u0131lmaktan kurtuldu.<\/strong> Sofya belediyesi camiye dokunmaks\u0131z\u0131n T\u00fcrk hamam\u0131n\u0131 y\u0131karak kapl\u0131ca in\u015faat\u0131n\u0131 1908-1913 y\u0131llar\u0131nda tamamlad\u0131. \u00d6te yandan, caminin imam ve m\u00fcezzini ile Bali Efendi t\u00fcrbedar\u0131na B\u00e2b\u0131\u00e2li\u2019den maa\u015f \u00f6deniyordu. 1915-1917 y\u0131llar\u0131nda <strong>Osmanl\u0131 Evkaf Nezaretinin tahsis etti\u011fi 15.000 lira ile cami tamir edildi.<\/strong> Bu esnada minarenin \u015fekli de\u011fi\u015ftirilerek boyu k\u0131salt\u0131ld\u0131 ve somaki mermerden yap\u0131lm\u0131\u015f eski minberi yenilendi. \u00a0Son olarak Osmanl\u0131 h\u00fck\u00fcmeti taraf\u0131ndan <strong>1917\u2019de kubbelerinin yenilenmesi i\u00e7in 36 ton kur\u015fun g\u00f6nderildi<\/strong>. Banya Ba\u015f\u0131 Camisi g\u00fcn\u00fcm\u00fczde de asli fonksiyonuna hizmet etmektedir. B\u00f6ylece Sofya\u2019da <strong>1900<\/strong>\u2019lerin ba\u015flar\u0131nda Mithat Pa\u015fa\u2019n\u0131n be\u015f bulvar\u0131, baz\u0131 meydan ve halk bah\u00e7elerinin bulundu\u011fu yerler ile Banya Ba\u015f\u0131 Camisi, restore edilerek Prensin ikametine sunulan h\u00fckumet kona\u011f\u0131 (Prens Saray\u0131), arkeoloji m\u00fczesine \u00e7evrilen Mahmut Pa\u015fa Camisi, hapishaneye d\u00f6n\u00fc\u015ft\u00fcr\u00fclen Sofu Mehmet Pa\u015fa Medresesi ve kiliseye \u00e7evrilen G\u00fcl Camisi, Siyavu\u015f Pa\u015fa Camisi ve Kara Cami d\u0131\u015f\u0131nda art\u0131k eski T\u00fcrk \u015fehrinden hi\u00e7 bir \u015fey kalmam\u0131\u015f ve \u015fehir Avusturya ekol\u00fc ile yeni ba\u015ftan in\u015fa edilmi\u015fti. Bu y\u0131llarda g\u00f6rd\u00fc\u011f\u00fc Sofya\u2019y\u0131 minyat\u00fcr bir <strong>Br\u00fcksel <\/strong>olarak niteleyen ve onu <strong>Budape\u015fte <\/strong>ile k\u0131yaslayan John F. Fraser Avrupa merkezli bir yakla\u015f\u0131mla ba\u011f\u0131ms\u0131zl\u0131\u011f\u0131n Bulgarlara hangi hammaddeden mamul olduklar\u0131n\u0131 (Bat\u0131ya) g\u00f6sterme f\u0131rsat\u0131 verdi\u011fini belirtir.
