Hat\u0131ralardaki bu \u00f6yk\u00fcler, d\u00fc\u015f\u00fcnce tarz\u0131m\u0131z\u0131 belirleyen ve bizi ge\u00e7mi\u015ften bug\u00fcne ba\u011flayan en \u00f6nemli etken olmu\u015ftur.<br \/>\nO, anlatmaya \u00e7ok parlak bir benzetmeyle ba\u015flamay\u0131 severdi.<br \/>\n\u201cBir k\u00fcpe sirke koysan sirke kokar, su koysan su korur, pirin\u00e7 doldursan b\u00f6cek toplar\u201d gibi tekerlemelerle s\u00f6ze girerken sanki anlataca\u011f\u0131 olay\u0131 arar, g\u00f6z\u00fcm\u00fcze bakarak ilgimizi sorgulard\u0131.<br \/>\nBir g\u00fcn bize; B\u00fcy\u00fck Vali Mithat Pa\u015fan\u0131n Rus\u00e7uk (Ruse) Varna demiryolunu Osmanl\u0131 Devleti ad\u0131na hizmete a\u00e7\u0131lmadan \u00f6nce nas\u0131l kontrol ettiginii anlatt\u0131.<br \/>\nB\u00fcy\u00fck bir yenilik\u00e7i, k\u00f6kl\u00fc bir reformist olan Mithat Pa\u015fan\u0131n 1822\u2019de do\u011fdu\u011funu, mesle\u011finin sadrazaml\u0131k (ba\u015fbakanl\u0131k) oldu\u011funu, \u0130stanbul\u2019da d\u00fcnyaya gelmi\u015f olsa da, soy k\u00f6klerinin Rus\u00e7uk\u2019a dayand\u0131\u011f\u0131n\u0131 s\u00f6yledikten sonra, as\u0131l ad\u0131na geldi..<br \/>\nVe as\u0131l ad\u0131n\u0131n Ahmet \u015eefik oldu\u011funu, ama halk aras\u0131nda Mithat Pa\u015fa olarak \u00fcnlendi\u011fini, halk\u0131n ona B\u00fcy\u00fck Vali dedi\u011fini, \u00f6zellikle de (kendi ya\u015fad\u0131\u011f\u0131 \u015fehri) Varna tren gar\u0131n\u0131 in\u015fa ettiren ki\u015fi oldu\u011funu sanki \u00f6v\u00fcnerek gururla anlatt\u0131.<br \/>\nBah\u00e7emizdeki asman\u0131n 2 \u00e7otu\u011fu ayn\u0131 cinsten olan \u201cHaf\u0131zali\u201d \u00fcz\u00fcm cinsini de Rumeli\u2019ye O&#8217;nun getirdi\u011fini, ihra\u00e7 edilen ilk \u00fcz\u00fcmlerin bu cinsten oldu\u011funu \u00f6zel olarak belirttikten sonra, bekledi\u011fimiz konuya ge\u00e7meden \u00f6nce, onun bir de Osmanl\u0131 devletine Anayasa ve Anayasal d\u00fczen getiren b\u00fcy\u00fck adam oldu\u011funu s\u00f6ylemeden edemedi.<br \/>\n\u00d6yk\u00fclerin giri\u015finde Osmanl\u0131 Meclisinde 1876\u2019da kabul edilen Kanun-i Esasi\u2019nin, kanunlar\u0131n anas\u0131,yani bir Anayasa oldu\u011funu a\u00e7arken, \u201cyasa s\u00f6z\u00fcn\u00fc\u201d pek kullanmazd\u0131 ve hatta bir defas\u0131nda \u201cyasan\u0131n\u201d bir \u201cyalan\u201d anlam\u0131na geldi\u011fine bile de\u011finmi\u015fti.<br \/>\nSesini y\u00fckselterek ve biraz da sanki gururlanarak anlatt\u0131\u011f\u0131 husus ise, Mithat Pa\u015fa\u2019n\u0131n 1. Me\u015frutiyet\u2019in ilan edilmesinde \u00f6nc\u00fcl\u00fck yapt\u0131\u011f\u0131na vurgu yapmas\u0131yd\u0131. Benim ve karde\u015flerimin Me\u015frutiyet kavram\u0131n\u0131n ne oldu\u011funu bilmedi\u011fimizi bildi\u011finden olacak, sonradan \u00f6\u011frendi\u011fime g\u00f6re, \u201ckanunlar\u0131n yani hukukun \u00fcst\u00fcnl\u00fc\u011f\u00fcne dayanan bir toplumsal d\u00fczen\u201d demesi gerekirken, o sayfay\u0131 atlar ve \u201cHakk\u2019\u0131n adaletinden \u00fcst\u00fcn yoktur\u201d deyip uzunca soluklan\u0131rd\u0131.<br \/>\n1864\u2019te Rus\u00e7uk Valisi atanan ve 2 y\u0131l bu g\u00f6revde kalan Mithat Pa\u015fan\u0131n Osmanl\u0131 devleti topraklar\u0131nda kurulan ilk demiryolu olan Rus\u00e7uk &#8211; Varna demiryoluyla ya\u015fad\u0131\u011f\u0131m\u0131z \u015fehrimize geli\u015fi dememin en fazla balland\u0131rd\u0131\u011f\u0131 \u00f6yk\u00fclerinin ba\u015f\u0131nda geliyordu.<br \/>\nUzunlu\u011fu 223 km olan ve Deliorman\u2019\u0131 bir u\u00e7tan bir uca bir r\u00fczg\u00e2r h\u0131z\u0131yla ge\u00e7en ilk tren seferi 7 Kas\u0131m 1866\u2019da yolcu ve y\u00fck ta\u015f\u0131mac\u0131l\u0131\u011f\u0131na ba\u015flamadan \u00f6nce bir devlet komisyonu taraf\u0131ndan kabul edilmi\u015ftir. Devralan heyete Osmanl\u0131 taraf\u0131ndan, heyet ba\u015fkan\u0131 olarak Rus\u00e7uk Valisi Mithat Pa\u015fa, in\u015faat\u0131 yapan \u0130ngiliz \u015firketi ad\u0131na da Henri ve Trevor B\u0131rkl\u0131 karde\u015fler kat\u0131lm\u0131\u015ft\u0131r.<br \/>\nB\u00fcy\u00fck Vali Mithat Pa\u015fa birinci s\u0131n\u0131f vagona binip l\u00fcks kompart\u0131manda yerini ald\u0131ktan sonra \u0130ngilizlerin beraberinde getirdi\u011fi hosteslere hitaben \u015f\u00f6yle demi\u015ftir:<br \/>\n&#8211; Biz bu yolculu\u011fumuz boyunca her tren gar\u0131nda birer yudum T\u00fcrk kahvesi i\u00e7ece\u011fiz, fincanlar\u0131m\u0131z hep dolu olacak. Biz bir yudum al\u0131nca hemen cezve ile gelip ilave yapacaks\u0131n\u0131z buyurmu\u015ftur.<br \/>\nTeklif \u0130ngilizler taraf\u0131ndan da kabul edilince gelece\u011fin sadrazam\u0131 \u015f\u00f6yle devam etmi\u015ftir:<br \/>\n&#8211; Giderken trenin yapt\u0131\u011f\u0131 sars\u0131nt\u0131 y\u00fcz\u00fcnden fincan\u0131mdan kahve d\u00f6k\u00fcl\u00fcrse kalitesiz i\u015ften do\u011fan zarar ve ziyan isteklerimiz kabul edilecektir.<br \/>\n\u0130ngiliz in\u015faat \u015firketi bu istekleri kabul edince, p\u00fcf-p\u00fcf d\u00fcd\u00fck \u00e7alm\u0131\u015f ve Varna istikametinde ilk tren seferi ba\u015flam\u0131\u015ft\u0131r.<br \/>\nKiremit g\u00f6r\u00fcnce duran tren yolcular\u0131 kahvelerini yudumlam\u0131\u015f, fincanlara ilave yap\u0131l\u0131nca d\u00fcd\u00fck yeniden \u00e7alm\u0131\u015f, buhar lokomotifinin puflamas\u0131 Deliorman\u2019a hayat g\u00fcc\u00fc ta\u015f\u0131m\u0131\u015ft\u0131r.<br \/>\n\u0130lk ciddi sars\u0131nt\u0131ya Deliorman\u2019da bir manda neden olmu\u015ftur. Siren sesine kafa sallamakla cevap veren iri hayvan, raylar\u0131n aras\u0131ndan \u00e7ekilmemi\u015f, gelen lokomotife \u201csen de kimsin\u201d dercesine boynuz sallam\u0131\u015ft\u0131r.<br \/>\nAni fren yapan makinist, fincandan d\u00f6k\u00fclen kahve kayma\u011f\u0131 beyaz \u00f6rt\u00fcye s\u0131\u00e7rad\u0131\u011f\u0131nda, kendi kendilerine \u201cnas\u0131l olur\u201d sorusunu sormakla kalmayan \u0130ngilizler, sebebiyet verdikleri rahats\u0131zl\u0131ktan dolay\u0131 ince bir nezakete B\u00fcy\u00fck Vali\u2019den \u00f6z\u00fcr de dilemi\u015flerdir.<br \/>\nBu \u00f6yk\u00fcn\u00fcn buras\u0131nda soluklanmay\u0131 seven dedem, bizim de mandalar\u0131m\u0131z oldu\u011fundan, mandan\u0131n inat\u00e7\u0131 bir hayvan oldu\u011funu anlatmay\u0131 atlard\u0131 ve Deliorman \u00fczerinden tren yolculu\u011funa devam ederdi.<br \/>\nHer defas\u0131nda ilk trenin ancak 5 vagonu oldu\u011funu, sonra bir de posta vagonu eklendi\u011fini, daha sonraki y\u0131llarda yolcu trenlerin en fazla \u00fc\u00e7 adet y\u00fck vagonu da eklendi\u011fini hat\u0131rlatt\u0131ktan sonra, bizi Kardan tren gar\u0131na g\u00f6t\u00fcr\u00fcrd\u00fc. (Burada B\u00fcy\u00fck Vali ve \u0130ngiliz heyeti Osmanl\u0131 topraklar\u0131nda kurulan ilk tren gar\u0131 lokantas\u0131nda ilk kez bir resmi yemek yenmi\u015ftir. )<br \/>\n\u00d6\u011fleden sonra eri\u015filen \u015eumnu gar\u0131ndan sonraki durak \u015eeytanc\u0131k\u2019t\u0131r. Bu yerle\u015fim yerinin ismi Hitrino olarak 50 sene sonra de\u011fi\u015ftirilmi\u015ftir.<br \/>\nTren g\u00f6rmek i\u00e7in etraf k\u00f6ylerden ya\u015fl\u0131 ve gen\u00e7ler toplanm\u0131\u015f, heyecan dorukta ray \u00fczerinde ko\u015fan mucizeyi g\u00f6rmeye sab\u0131rs\u0131zlan\u0131rken, birden bire bir ses duyulmu\u015f, vagon g\u00fc\u00e7le sarsm\u0131\u015f, fincan Mithat Pa\u015fan\u0131n poturlar\u0131 \u00fczerine devrilip d\u00f6k\u00fclm\u00fc\u015ft\u00fcr.
